Jesús Torrivilla + Erika Ordosgoitti

Torrivilla (1989)
Writer specializing in contemporary Latin American art and critical studies. I have over ten years of media experience as an editor and essayist. I am co-author of El bravo tuky, a book on the electronic music scene in the barrios of Caracas and editor of Deborah Castillo: Body Work. I am currently a PHD Candidate in ArtHistory and professor at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and in Tecnològico de Monterrey. Living and working in Mexico, studying border art, identity, and expanding my practice in creative collaboration with artists, have allowed me to learn how important it is to build community ties and foster alternative practices of knowledge where a sense of commons becomes a way of surviving a world always in crisis. I am academic director of the performance art and writing platform Profoundation with artist Deborah Castillo
